چکیده

A total of 1,827 pigs (L337 × 1050, PIC; initially 215.8 ± 2.5 lb) were used to evaluate the effects increasing soybean meal (SBM) in corn-DDGS-based diets on growth performance late finishing pigs. Pens blocked by BW and randomly assigned 1 5 dietary treatments with 14 replications per treatment. Experimental corn-based 25% DDGS. Effects of increasing crude glycerol and dried distillers grains with solubles on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and carcass fat quality of finishing pigs.

This study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary crude glycerol and dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) on growing-finishing pig performance, carcass characteristics, and carcass fat quality. We hypothesized that because dietary crude glycerol has been observed to increase carcass SFA, it might ameliorate the negative effects of DDGS on fat quality. The 97-d study was condu...

Effects of dried distillers grains with solubles on carcass fat quality of finishing pigs.

A total of 1,112 pigs (initial BW of 49.8 kg) were used in a 78-d study to evaluate the effects of 0, 5, 10, 15, or 20% dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) and sex on carcass fat quality of finishing pigs. All diets contained 6% choice white grease and were fed in 4 finishing phases (50 to 59, 59 to 82, 82 to 105, and 105 to 123 kg, respectively). The experiment was conducted in a comm...

The effects of feeding sorghum dried distillers grains with solubles on finishing pig growth performance, carcass characteristics, and fat quality.

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of feeding sorghum dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) in grain sorghum– or corn-based diets on pig growth performance, carcass characteristics, and carcass fat quality. A total of 288 finishing pigs (BW 58.8 ± 4.43 kg; Line TR 4 × 1050, PIC, Hendersonville, TN) were used in a 73-d study. Pigs were allotted to 1 of 6 dietary trea...

Effects of feeding diets containing increasing content of corn distillers dried grains with solubles to grower-finisher pigs on growth performance, carcass composition, and pork fat quality.

Crossbred pigs (n = 512) with an average initial BW of 22.1 +/- 0.54 kg were used to evaluate growth performance, carcass characteristics, and pork fat quality of grower-finisher pigs fed corn-soybean meal diets containing increasing content of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS). One of 4 dietary treatments was randomly assigned to each pen within sex. Dietary treatment and sex were t...

Effects of Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles and Extruded Expelled Soybean Meal on Growth Performance and Carcass Characteristics of Grow-finish Pigs

A total of 120 barrows (maternal line PIC 1050) with an initial BW of 105.7 lb were used in an 83-d trial to study the effects of dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) and extruded expelled soybean meal (EESM) on growth performance and fat quality. Pigs were blocked by weight and randomly allotted to one of six treatments with two pigs per pen and 10 pens per treatment. Diets were: a cor...
